The Supervisory Grid Seminar is the first step to answering the question: What accounts for the varying degrees of effectiveness among supervisors?Where other Grid Personal Learning seminars focus on developing the lateral relationships, the Supervisory Grid targets the hierarchical relationship between supervisor and employees. Supervisors gain an in-depth understanding of how their personal style impacts employees and how to instill maximum commitment and performance, as well as specific improvement strategies to increase their own performance back on the job. Participants work in teams to develop and practice strategies for resolving conflict, setting goals, performance measurement, and other skills critical to effective supervision.
